These drawings were made by my Son, Hipook Brown, but I added the animation.

ChaPuHaup, took mud, from the bottom of the sea and made it into a ball and threw it into the sky and made the moon, he took another ball and threw it into the sky, making the sun. Then he took some mud, in both hands, and threw it across the sky making the milky way and the other stars.

According to my Grandpa ChaPuHaup took mud shaped it into people and he blew life into them. This reminded me of MissQua dolls. Which were used during the Karuk ceremony. My grandpa said MissQua dolls were kind of scary because they had teeth, he noticed they put little seashells in their mouth and made teeth out of them.

So ChaPuHaup blew life into the people and the bad ChaPuHaup, who was blind, he didn't know what was going on. He's trying to do something bad, and people were running away from him. Immediately after people were formed, they began to change their shapes, which is our version of evolution.

And that'll be on the next plate. Thank you.
